• within 7 days of testing positive to COVID-19 or continue to have symptoms after a positive test

•  Self-isolating.

• A close contact of someone with COVID-19.

• In quarantine.

• Experiencing a severe medical emergency.

If you’re experiencing a severe medical emergency or severe COVID-19 symptoms, please call  000  immediately and advise the operator if you’re in self-isolation because of COVID-19.

Please be aware that you will be required to wear a mask when attending our centre to protect those at particular risk of COVID-19.

Family planning methods have come a long way since the introduction of the Pill in the early 60s. You can choose from a variety of contraceptions based on your requirements.

The Implanon NXT® is small, flexible and can be inserted under the skin of your inner upper arm. It slowly releases a progestogen hormone that will prevent pregnancies for up to three years. The implant is also completely reversible so you can return to normal fertility quickly. The Implanon NXT® can also minimise painful periods, PMT issues and even acne in some women.

A Copper IUD is placed inside the uterus. It’s a small plastic device with a copper wire wrapped around the stem and there are two types available in Australia. One lasts up to five years and the other can last up to ten years. The copper IUD works by stopping the sperm from fertilising the egg. It also changes the womb lining.

Hormone-releasing IUD (Mirena) is a small plastic device shaped liked a ‘T’ with a hormone called levonorgestrel in its stem. This is also inserted into the uterus and works by changing your uterus lining so pregnancies are less likely. The hormone-releasing IUD can last – and stay in place – for up to five years and is 99% effective.
